Re: Iran
Before criticizing Mr. Trump for recent military actions in Venezuela and Iran, be informed as to how Venezuelans and Persians are responding to this news. Contrary to what you’re seeing on American mainstream media, Persians in Iran and abroad appear to overwhelmingly approve of the dismantling of the current regime, which has committed unspeakable atrocities against Persians for nearly half a century.
Conversely, I’ve yet to see an actual Venezuelan express disapproval for Maduro being forcibly removed from office and humiliated on the world stage.
I sympathize with good-hearted Americans who are concerned about the constitutionality of these actions, but since when is the US Congress an arbiter of morality which is capable of making sound decisions re: important matters such as going to war?
Argue that Mr. Trump’s actions are illegal if you want, but he appears to have taken these military actions legally, albeit not strictly constitutionally as the founders intended.
At the end of the day, people in positions of power are instruments of the divine cosmos, and I pray for peace and justice for those who have suffered injustice because of the unconscionable actions of these tyrants.
